Last month we highlighted Italian supplier Selleria Ferro’s claim to have designed the lightest saddle in the world. As soon as we got our first supplies, they flew straight out the door!

Technically they were wrong – Selleria Ferro claimed the saddle (called the Piuma ‘Evo’) weighed 125gms, but all the saddles supplied to us were under 125gms, with one as light as 110gms!

Overall we are very pleased with the workmanship of this saddle and the unique design of the ‘tree’ inside.

We are now taking advance orders for when our new stock arrives. We have increased the colour range to Black, Red, Royal Blue, White and Maroon.

Pat recently visited our shop, and it was a very humbling experience. Faced with not being able to race ride again (see Newcastle Herald article here), Pat did one of the toughest things an injured jockey has to do when faced with this prospect – he handed over his saddle bag and riding gear, for us to price and sell for him.
